Allietare Mystery Quilt (part 4 and 5)

Part 4 was not done in time to do the link-up by Sunday night.....But part 4 and 5 were both done in time. I am now putting together all the parts to make a whole! Since the reveal was on New Year's Eve :) Bonnie made us all very happy quilters before the ball came down to start 2016! What a Happy New Year it was!! The blocks are now starting to come together and I am loving them all! Bonnie's directions are amazing, all the seams come together perfect!
This is Part 4.... this step took the longest for me but 1 stitch at a time and amazingly 30 units came to a finish :)

Part 5 was easy piecey! as we had all these units done and already cut. All we needed to do was put them together! The reveal came before I had all my units done. But I stitched away before making any of the blocks.

Thank you Bonnie for an amazing mystery!! Here is the link to Allietare Mystery Quilt:

Allietare part 2!

This step was not bad! I have never done a unit like this, Santa hats/ headless geese. Either name, I love the unit! I can't wait to until the reveal to see where these units will fit in!! I like the extra cutting step in Bonnie's designs! It is always nice to have them ready to use when it's time.

Here's a pic of step 2:

Allietare Mystery Quilt

Step 1 complete! Can't wait for step 2 tomorrow morning!! I hope my grey will not be to blue.....when I bought it at the quilt shop it looked like the perfect grey but when I got it home it has a blueish tint to it. Oh well I love it and that is what counts :)

Thanks Bonnie for all you do!!

Grand Illusion 2014

Step 1 of Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion mystery quilt for 2014, Complete!

Thanks to Quiltcam tonight all of my units are pieced, now I'm ready for step 2.  I love doing Bonnie's mystery's because it makes me think outside of the box. I would never have put together the colors she choses for Grand Illusion or the Celtic Solstice, but I have all these fabrics in my small stash and love that they can be used up.
See you next week :)

Celtic Solstice in the snow :)

Celtic Solstice is finished! I had to take pictures of it in the snow since that is all it does here in Western Pennsylvania!!
It's quilted with an allover swirly pattern. The quilt was busy enough that it didn't need intricate quilting. Thank you again Bonnie Hunter for this mystery quilt! I can't wait till to see what the next one will be :)
